Feel free to contact us with any questions about how you can get involved. To read more about last year's auction success, check out the auction reportback from our Fall 2009 Newsletter.
Guru Poornima Celebrations and Webcast
Join us Sunday, July 25 from 8:00-10:00 PM EST for a special Guru Poornima celebration. Guru Poornima will be celebrated here in Cleveland through havan (fire ceremony) and kirtan. Havan is the celebration of the first awakening of consciousness. When man learned how to use fire to help, protect, nurture and sustain him, and when he learned that grains could be cooked and cultivated, this understanding put him on the first rung of evolution.
The aim of havan is to use that potential to further launch our consciousness into the unknown dimensions for further discoveries. And Guru Poornima is the special day to pay our deep gratitude to all the enlightened teachers or Masters who dispelthe darkness of ignorance and infuse the light of awareness into our lives and guide us into the unknown dimensions.
This Guru Poornima havan will be broadcast live via our video streaming channel so that you can participate from home. Contact us for information on the event in Cleveland or to share the details of your local Guru Poornima events. Connect with NAG and the Satyananda community on this auspicious occasion!

Growing the Connection: Webcasts and Weekly Chanting
North American Gurukul Webstream
There are now recordings posted of memorial sessions for Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati. These include chanting of the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, havan, Bhagavad Gita, and more, so that you can incorporate them into your own sadhana. Visit our video streaming channel to view live recordings. Stay tuned for more videos to be posted soon.
Every Saturday
Connect with NAG! Join a group chanting of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra every Saturday. This healing mantra is chanted on Saturdays at The Bihar School of Yoga in India and Satyananda ashrams around the world. Names of people in need of support may be added to a list which is read and remembered before each chanting session. Chanting happens here in Cleveland every week from 4:30-5:00 PM. Contact us for chanting groups in your area, information on how to start one, or to add names to the chanting book at the Atma Center. Join in from home! There is a webcast of the Mahamritunjaya with havan posted from Saturday, January 2. Join us every Saturday from 4:30-5:00 PM EST.
